Playing not to lose doesn’t cut it. You need to take action like there is no possibility besides success but in the course of that journey fail fast, learn & get over the certain setbacks you are bound to encounter.
What’s actually inspiring is that individuals who follow this advice do not actually have a ton of identifiable failures. Except they do but when you talk to them you can feel that it’s so ingrained in their growth mindset that it is learning (not failure) that they can’t even recall it as anything but (learning). Rather they discuss, describe and think about the experiences as only that - learning or “I tried that ands”
